Marvel’s sequel to Ant-Man, Ant-Man, and the Wasp was released on 4th of July after a long wait by the Marvel fans.
It takes place between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War and is less intense and less violent than either of those films.
While the movie enjoyed a satisfactory opening box office collections it disappointed many with its storyline and hard to digest character portrayals.
Thankfully, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man is as engaging as ever. He almost single-handedly saves this sequel, which is genial enough but not nearly as much fun as the original.
While it proves an all-around well-mounted distraction, Ant-Man And The Wasp undeniably lacks the scale and ambition of recent Marvel entries.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is a light Marvel entry, with a welcome absence of a save-the-universe plot. Some very hilarious contributions by the supporting actors sustain this worthwhile and entertaining summer popcorn movie.
