“I am a Pakistani and Pakistan’s army is my army. I respect it deeply from heart,” he said in a bid to address the reservations expressed by some sections of society on the 14 questions he had posed to the Chief of Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif.
Altaf Hussain also emphasized upon the need for the resolution of the current political crisis through negotiations and maintained that leaders and ideologues of the political and religious parties should take up this responsibility before the situation reaches flashpoint.
He urged the veteran political leaders to convince the two sides to get engaged in negotiations and steer the country out of political impasse.
