ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari met Sarah Hendriks, director of Gender Equality Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation here today.
They discussed in detail various issues relating to women empowerment and protection of human rights especially the rights of women.
The minister apprised her about the government’s steps to ensure the promotion and protection of human rights particularly the rights of women.
She said that the government is committed to protecting the rights of women and it is our top priority.
The director of the Gender Equality Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation appreciated the government for its efforts to protect and promote fundamental rights of people.
