Karachi police release pictures of Gulistan-e-Jauhar knife attacker

KARACHI: Police have released pictures of the knife attacker who attacked several women with a sharp object in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar area, ARY News reported.

The police not only released the pictures but also asked people of the area to help police in catching the criminal. A prize money of Rs0.5 million has also been announced for anyone who comes up with any information regarding the attacker.

The pictures are taken from a CCTV footage and show a biker wearing a helmet and attacking random women. Police say the suspect is about 20 to 29 years old and his height ranges from 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inch.

At least six such attacks were carried out on girls in the current week in the area. In almost all such incidents, a biker attacked women with a sharp object leaving them severely injured.

On Friday, a CCTV footage received by ARY News showed a biker roaming in Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block Two attacking a woman by approaching a woman who was at her house’s doorstep.

It is pertinent to mention here that the initial investigation report in this case says the attacks were actually carried out by paper cutter not a knife or a dagger.
