KARACHI: Traffic police on Thursday challaned Ali Musa Gilani, the son of former prime minister, Yousuf Raza Gilani for violating traffic rules in Karachi, ARY News reported.
As per details, Musa Gilani was served challan of rs 520, over violation of traffic rules, as he was travelling in a vehicle, having fancy number plate and black tinted windows at city’s main road artery, Shahra-e-Faisal.
The city’s traffic police after issuing challan to Musa, had asked him to follow the traffic rules strictly.
It may be recalled that yesterday, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Kaleem Imam had ordered, to initiate crackdown against vehicles running with fancy number plates and open letter in the province.
As per details, Sindh’s top cop, had ordered DIG traffic and Zonal DIGs to launch crackdown against vehicles running with fancy number plates and transfer letters across the province.
The decision was taken in the light of Chief Minister Sindh’s orders, after revelation that the vehicle used by terrorists, to attack Chinese Consulate was owned by a person, who had sold his vehicle six years ago.
Citizens were advised to use original number plates of their vehicles while commuting, to avoid any action against them.
On Tuesday, Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, had ordered to launch crackdown against the use of vehicles by second or progressive owners on transfer letters in the province.
