KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Farooq Sattar on Saturday said that political parties spending huge money on election ads will largely influence the polls.

Speaking to media here, he said at least 10 million of Karachi population was now shown in the final census in an attempt to dent the vote bank of the city.

He also accused the Pakistan People’s Party of disturbing the electoral atmosphere.

He claimed that elections would be influenced via money used by the aspiring candidates. He said if polls were held with this approach and unfairness, then its result won’t be called transparent. “Sit-in will also be staged subsequently,” he warned.

Sattar said the moves to push MQM against the wall should now end. He said whether it was minus one formula or minus the MQM.

He underlined that MQM was a single faction in the past and it will remain the same in future.

Expressing reservations on the caretaker government, the MQM leader alleged that the interim setup in the province was almost another side of the PPP.

He told the media that he was submitting nomination papers from NA 241, NA-245,and NA 247. Clarifying media reports, the MQM leader said he didn’t say in any interview that the MQM was boycotting the elections.
