KARACHI: Defence Minister Pervez Khattak on Saturday visited Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) Headquarters in Karachi and called on Director General PMSA Rear Admiral Zaka ur Rehman, ARY News reported.
The defence minister was briefed on role of the maritime security agency and challenges it was facing including achieving its targets.
He also visited newly-inducted ship, MSS Kashmir, in Maritime Fleet. The commanding officer on this occasion gave briefing to him about the abilities of the ship.
“We will have to be ready all the time to counter the challenges successfully,” said Khattak.
On March 5, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat had visited the Air Headquarters in Islamabad and met Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan.

Paying rich tribute to the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), General Zubair Mahmood Hayat had termed it the first line of national defence.
He had said that PAF came up to the expectations of nation during the ongoing tension between Pakistan and India. General Zubair Mahmood Hayat had said that the nation is proud of PAF pilots, who shot down enemy’s jets and thwarted its nefarious designs.
Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan had apprised the CJCSC about the operational preparedness of PAF and said the air force was fully prepared to safeguard the motherland, whenever challenged.
