KARACHI: Close aide of ex-president Asif Ali Zardari and former petroleum minister Dr Asim Hussain on Saturday claimed that several Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leaders were soon going to join the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), ARY News reported.
“There are many leaders who are ready to join the PPP, but I will not like to disclose their names (at the moment). Negotiations are going on. This is a normal thing in politics that people leave one party for another,” he said while addressing media.

He said the residents of Karachi should not be despair and trust in the PPP and point out any improvement if they wanted.
“The doors of PPP are open for all and I invite all to join us to participate in mainstream federal politics, because it will be of no use for Karachi to do politics by becoming a party of a province or a division,” he said.
Dr Asim said Asif Zardari had said that the PPP would revive the lost glory of Karachi and spend resources on the megapolis now.
