KARACHI: On instruction of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Shah, the health department has constituted a five-member inquiry committee to probe the allegations of leaks of public sector medical colleges/universities entry test, National Testing Service (NTS) examination, papers conducted on October 22, 2017.
The committee comprises Aijaz Ahmed Mahesar, special secretary health as chairman and Mohammad Akhlaq, director general health, Dr Khalil Ahmed Pathan, MS Government General Hospital Lyari, Mohsin Shailkh, additional director health dept, and Nadeem Akhtar Shaikh as members. Nadeem would also work as convener of the committee.

The terms of reference of the committee are as follows:
- To ascertain the verasity of the allegations appearing in print and social media that question paper and answer key were leaked and provided to candidates prior to test on receiving illegal gratification.
- To probe into the process involved for Medical College Entry Test conducted through NTS for admissions in public sector medial colleges/universities of Sindh.
- To record and probe statements of stakeholders including the students and parents.
The committee has been directed to submit its findings along with recommendations within ten days. The committee has also been allowed to co-opt any member for assistance as per requirement.
