RAWALPINDI: A soldier was martyred in a cross-border attack on the troops busy fencing the Pak-Afghan frontier in North Waziristan.
Sepoy Niaz Ali embraced martyrdom in an armed attack from across the border with the war-torn country, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
ISPR chief Major General Asif Ghafoor said Pakistan will complete fencing along the Pak-Afghan border undeterred.
In a tweet message, he said Afghanistan’s cooperation is required to secure mutual interests of both Islamabad and Kabul.
The DG ISPR said another son of soil sacrificed his life while making the Pak-Afghan border safe and inaccessible for terrorists.
