So Priyanka Chopra, the international star, too joined her Bollywood colleagues and ultra-nationalist sportsmen (read Gautam Gambhir, Sehwag and Tendulkar) in boasting about the so-called airstrike by Indian Air Force on February 26.
The actress was not only trolled yesterday and today (after PAF’s action against IAF) but her short tweet reading “Jai Hind #IndianArmedForces’ was criticised by Twitter users from around the world.
She was reminded that she is the goodwill ambassador for UNICEF and war mongering doesn’t suit her in any way.
Here is how she was schooled by some Twitter users
Pakistani television star Armeena Rana Khan was the first to react to her tweet and reminded her that she is not supposed to do such tweets which encourage war.
“WHAT?!!! But aren’t you supposed to be a Good Will ambassador for @UNICEF? Screen shot this everyone and next time she speaks up for peace and goodwill. Let’s remind her of this hypocrisy,” wrote Armeena.

Then came others
Are or were you really Unicef goodwill ambassador? I really don’t know how an artist can praise military actions and especially while being an ambassador of UN. I don’t think this world could ever see peace when peacemakers love wars. #NoWar #PakistanIndia

Priyanka Chopra what a magnificent disappointment. Hope more blueticked accounts remind her what being a Goodwill ambassador actually means. Hypocrite.

@UNICEF does a goodwill ambassador promotes war? Applauding airstrikes in hidden manner reveals the hypocrisy. Does she really deserve the title?

Surprised to see @UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador cheering for war. Such hypocrisy, much wow.
