Foreign airlines to resume Peshawar flights from tomorrow

TOP NEWS

PESHAWAR: All foreign airlines who had suspended their operations at Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar following a firing incident on aircraft, will now resume their operations from tomorrow (Friday), airport sources confided to ARY News on Thursday.

The international flights, however, will operate only in daytime owing to security reasons. Sources told that reservations of foreign airlines over below-par security at Peshawar airport had been addressed.

“Security has been beefed up in the surrounding areas of city’s airport as part of a security measure,” sources informed. All international flights were operating at Islamabad airport after the firing on aircraft after it touched down at Peshawar airport on June 25, thus killing a woman passenger and injuring four others.

Various foreign airlines including Emirates, Qatar Airways and Saudi Arabian airlines had suspended their operations at Peshawar airport after a vicious attack.
