PTI Chairman Imran Khan, in a statement, said that it is the responsibility of the federal government to provide housing to the people as stated under the constitution.
He added that the violent action against the katchi abadi dwellers displayed how the PML-N government is becoming increasingly fascistic. He added that only the poor suffer the wrath of state power which was reflected in the action taken against the poor residents of the I-11 Katchi Abadi in Islamabad.
Khan also said that if there were criminal elements the Katchi Abadi then arrests and legal proceedings are required against the suspect, not the entire community.
