DG Met Ghulam Rasool said the weather in Karachi is likely to remain extremely hot for the next two days. He added the temperature is likely to exceed 40C in Karachi and advised the citizens to take precautionary measures.
The DG Met urged the masses to not let the children go out in hours when the sun is blazing.
Meanwhile, the commissioner Karachi said all concerned departments and hospitals have been issued directives to take relative measures with regard to expected hot weather.
In June this year, more than 1,800 people had died of the severe heatwave in Karachi and other parts of Sindh.
