During the meeting a five point agenda was presented by MQM with suggestions to overcome water shortage and to make its supply fair and justified.
The five member delegation of MQM includes Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan, Kanwar Naveed Jamil, Mohammad Hussain and Sardar Ahmed while among PPP leaders Sherjeel Memon, Murad Ali Shah and Sikander Mandharo attended the meeting.
Speaking to media, Khawaja Izhar ul Hassan said MQM has demanded CM Sindh to take immediate action against illegal water connections and hydrants. He said CM Sindh has assured for every possible measure to overcome water crisis.
Earlier, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain phoned up Syed Qaim Ali Shah and discussed the current peace situation and water crisis in the province, especially in Karachi.
MQM Chief praised Sindh Police for the arrest of the terrorists of Safoora carnage. He informed the CM Sindh about the current water crisis in Karachi and people’s desperation regarding the issue.
Altaf Hussain asked Qaim Ali Shah to play his part to resolve the crisis.
