Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has revealed that she had never thought she would end up marrying American singer Nick Jonas when they had first started seeing each other.
Speaking at the Women in the World summit happening in New York, the ‘Quantico’ starrer said Jonas had always surprised her from the early days of their romance.
Narrating one of the things about Jonas that touched her was his sincerity towards her career. She said that once she and Jonas were out with friends and she had another meeting scheduled.

She says she dropped hints at Jonas expecting he might ask her to cancel the commitments, but Jonas, she says, responded by saying “I will never be the one who will tell you to cancel [commitments] because I know how hard you have worked to be where you are today”.
She said she judged the book by its cover too quickly, but Jonas turned out to be completely different from what she had thought.
“I’ve known him for two years,” she told. “I didn’t think that this would be what it turned out to be, and that’s maybe my fault. I judged a book by its cover.”
