Scotland Yard in contact with Pakistan govt over MQM chief speech

A Scotland Yard spokesperson confirmed to ARY News correspondent in London that the speech of Altaf Hussain is under consideration.

The spokesperson said that the text of the speech has been received and they have asked for a detailed translation after which it will announce its further course of action and whether to initiate proceedings against him.

The government of Pakistan has already confirmed sending a formal reference to British authorities against the MQM chief stating that his speech incited party workers to violence. It stated that the provocative speech violated national and international laws and the British government must take action against him.

Several expatriate Pakistanis living in Britain have also written letters expressing their concern over the inflammatory speeches of the MQM chief.
