Zardari named president of People’s Party Parliamentarians

The central executive committee meeting of PPP presided over by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari took the decision.

Talking to media after the meeting former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and Qamar Zaman Kair announced the decision about Asif Ali Zardari’s new responsibility, who also holds the office of the PPP Co-chairman. They said the CEC members unanimously took the decision.

Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said that any excess subjected to Sindh will weaken the federation of Pakistan.

Kaira said that the prime minister himself said that chief minister of Sindh is the captain of the Sindh operation. He dubbed the powers to Rangers in the province as ’emergency-plus’.

The CEC meeting paid tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto for her sacrifice and services for the cause of democracy in the country.

The meeting also lauded services of the party’s central leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim, who was the president of PPP-P and said he remained committed to the party till his last breath. The meeting observed one-minute silence for the departed soul.
