Nawaz Sharif was born on 25th December 1949. He belongs to Kashmiri-Punjabi family.
He is the incumbent prime minister of Pakistan and the founder of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz.
The prime minister acquired his early education from Saint Anthony’s High School in Lahore. He graduated from Government College Lahore and went on to acquire a degree in Law from Punjab University.
His first tenure as Prime Minister of Pakistan began on 6th November 1990 and ended on 18th July 1993 when he was dismissed by former president Ghulam Ishaque Khan.
He again became the premier on 17th Feburary 1997 and was ousted by former army chief Pervez Musharraf.
Sharif emerged victorious in the 2013 general elections by a wide margin and became the prime minister for the third time on 5th June 2013.
