The CM Sindh expressed these views while presiding over an apex committee meeting attended by Governor Sindh Ishrat-ul-Ibad, DG Rangers Sindh Bilal Akbar, Corps Commander Karachi Naveed Mukhtar and IG Police Ghulam Haider Jamali in Karachi on Monday.

The meeting while discussing the security situation in Sindh decided to form a counter-terrorism force for province like the one formed in Punjab.

The Sindh counter-terrorism force will comprise of a thousand strong men and will be trained with the help of Pakistan Army.

It was also decided in the session to send terrorism related cases to military courts and 57 such cases will be forwarded to the courts in next 10 days.

In order to ensure the execution of National Action Plan in the province, it was decided to constitute three zonal committees’ in Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur.

The Karachi Zonal committee would consist of DG Rangers, Commissioner Karachi, Additional IG Police Karachi, and three sector commanders from the rangers.

The Hyderabad Zonal Committee would have two divisions, i.e. Mirpurkhas and Shaheed Benazirabad. The GOC Hyderabad, Commissioners, and DIGs of three divisions along with the Sector Commander Rangers, will be a part of the group.

Similarly, the Sukkur Zonal committee would have Larkana Division as well. It would consist of GOC Pano Aqil, Commissioner and DIGs of Sukkur and Larkana divisions and sector Commander Rangers.

Moreover, deputy commissioners are ordered to curb hate speech and  sectarian wall chalking at once.

Sindh was jolted by a deadly blast in an Imambargah in Shikarpur district on Jan 30, 2015, killing more than 60 people and injuring several others.
