He was talking to anchorperson Dr Danish during ARY News program ‘Sawal Yeh Hai’.
Musharraf said that the military is successfully acting against terrorists in the country, however lamented that army and Rangers do not have complete support.
At one point, the ex-president made an interesting comment, “Army Chief General Raheel Sharif is performing well and he must be given extension in his term”.
Speaking about India, he said the arch-rival tries to maintain its high-handedness, but we must not be bullied.
“We should raise the issue of Samjhota Express to counter India while taking up the matter of Mumbai attacks,” he explained. “Pakistan should boldly face India.”
In response to a question about Daesh, the ex-president declared it a serious threat and backed a joint offensive against the global terror outfit in the region.
Speaking about the situation in Afghanistan, Pervez Musharraf said the Afghan government should represent the Afghan people.
