ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Senator Mian Ateeq on Friday said that he is ready to be hanged till death if someone proves he is connected to party’s London chapter.

“I say, live on television, hang me if I have any connection or contact with MQM-London,” Mian Ateeq said while answering a question in ARY News talk show ‘Sawal Ye Hai’.

MQM Pakistan chapter led by Farooq Sattar, dissociated itself from the party chief’s statements and MQM’s London chapter on August 23, 2016 after then MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s anti-Pakistan speech on August 22.

Despite party’s repeated attempts to clear the ambiguity regarding its contact with party’s London chapter where the former supremo Altaf Hussain is living in exile.

Last week, Samlan Mujahid Baloch, a former member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan, alleged that several party leaders including Farooq Sattar have been in touch with the MQM founder and the series of allegations between the two sides is just a show-off.

Baloch, who was expelled from MQM-P, said that Sattar and other leaders of the MQM-P congratulated the party founder on his birthday and cut a cake on the occasion as well.

The MQM-P chief, however, told ARY News, that he and his party leaders neither congratulated Altaf Hussain directly nor asked anyone to congratulate the former party chief on his birthday.
