RAWALPINDI: Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan on Thursday said that the government will soon launch a full-fledged campaign against land mafia, ARY News reported.

Talking to media in Khuli Katchery (open public forum) at Rawalpinid Commissioner Office, the minister promised that the operation against land grabbers will be across the board.

“The government will fulfill all promises made with the masses and would come up to their expectations. A effective mechanism would be introduced to eliminate the menace of corruption,” said Ali Muhammad Khan.

The minister assured all that the government is determined to eliminate corruption, adding that taxpayers’ money will only be spent on public welfare.

The minister also directed the officials to work hard with honestly and delicately and warned them of strict action if they fail to perform their duties with honesty.

The minister listened public complaints against police, WAPDA, Sui Gas, NADRA and other departments.

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Fayyaz Ahmed and Acting Commissioner Rawalpindi Dr Umer Jahangir and other officials were present on the occasion.
