ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Tuesday inaugurated bureau office of Turkish news agency ‘Anadolu’ in Islamabad.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Fawad Chaudhry said that Turkey had supported Pakistan through thick and thin. He said that the bureau office would help strengthen media ties between the two brotherly countries. The minister underscored the need to increase bilateral cooperation in the sectors of tourism, culture and entertainment.
Fawad Chaudhry said that national and international media supported the Pakistani narrative over Pulwama incident and situation in Kashmir through a responsible journalism.
He said it was the power of media that the international community acknowledged Pakistani narrative, while India had to face isolation.
Fawad Chaudhry said Pakistan included Turkey in five countries, whose citizens would be given visa free entry. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan would announce new visa policy on Thursday.

Earlier, concluding his two-day official visit to Turkey, his first, Prime Minister Imran Khan had said that his government was fully committed to not only develop Pakistan but also contribute in ensuring regional peace and stability.
He was addressing a joint press conference with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the Turkish capital on January 4.
