KARACHI: A man was shot dead by unidentified assailants near city’s Yousuf Plaza, Gulberg Town on Wednesday night, ARY News reported.
According to police, the man was killed from the point blank range and the bullet hit in his dead, hence claiming his life on the spot.
The deceased person was a cart vendor, however, the incident appeared to be a case of targeted killing, the police added. They said further investigation was underway.

Earlier in the day, three members of a family were wounded when armed robbers opened fire on them for trying to resist a robbery bid at a house in North Karachi.
At least two people were killed in a fresh spasm of killings across the city on Wednesday.
In the morning, a man identified as Zulfikar Ali was shot dead by armed miscreants within the limits of Gizri Police Station. The attackers fired shots at him and fled. The victim died on the spot. The police said they were probing the incident.
Similarly, an accountant of a private company, and a 82-year-old man were targeted in separate attacks in the city on Tuesday.
Police said at six people lost their lives in firing incidents in the last two days. A body of a woman was also found from a home in Awami Colony area.
On March 26, a shopkeeper was shot dead in the New Karachi area after he put up resistance during a robbery bid.
