Attock police arrest man behind sexual assault, murder of 6-year old boy

ATTOCK: Police have arrested a man who allegedly killed a six-year old boy after sexually assaulting him within the limits of the Fatehjang City police station.

The victim boy, named Huzaifa, had gone missing on the evening of April 20. Later, his body was recovered from a well.

According to the police, accused identified as Hafiz Abdul Hai, a resident of Fatehjang, is the administrator at a local seminary.

Taking notice of the incident, District Police Officer (DPO) Attock Syed Shahza Nadeem Bokhari had constituted a team comprising SDPO Fatehjang Muhammad Sikandar, SHO Fatehjan Abid Munir and Incharge IT Wing Jahanzeb Khan to trace and arrest the culprit.

Earlier, on April 23, a six-year-old girl was reportedly sexually assaulted in a village in Pakpattan, Punjab. According to the police, a man, 45, sexually abused Amna after he found her alone at her house located in Kaliana area.

The victim, a student, was moved to a hospital where doctors had termed her condition critical. Police said the suspect had fled the crime scene and raids were being conducted to arrest him.

A lady doctor confirmed the sexual assault on the girl in a medical report. The police said they had registered a case against the suspect.
