Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is already become the fastest-selling game in PlayStation Studios’ history within just three days of its release.
According to the press release, Sony Interactive Entertainment claimed that more than 2.5 million copies of the game had been sold during the first 24 hours of the game release, meanwhile, the publisher didn’t provide any breakdown related to physical vs digital, however, the number itself is impressive for the brand’s history.
The Marvel’s Spider-Man sequel continued its record-setting trend as 2018’s Spider-Man also became the fastest-selling first-party PlayStation game at the time, specifically for PS4 with 3.3 million copies sold within the first three days of the launch, and still holds the record becoming the best-selling superhero game ever in the U.S.
