RAWALPINDI: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday said the government would provide all possible resources to the armed forces to meet the national security and development needs.
He said this during a meeting with Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
The financial requirements of Pakistan Army were discussed during the meeting, in the context of the budget for next financial year.
The on-going development projects of Pakistan Army and future development plans were discussed in detail.

Earlier today, the parliamentary leaders of major political parties with exception of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) agreed to extend military courts for a period of two years.
Dar said that a joint session of the parliament would be summoned on March 6 to approve the constitutional amendment bill on the extension in military courts.
Addressing media after the meeting of parliamentary leaders, Dar said he hoped the PPP which did not attend the meeting would reach a consensus by March 4 and attend the session to approve the bill.
