The Yellow River Delta Zoo recruited 30 snow monkeys to study at its ‘Macaques Performing School’.

A troop of monkeys are the new students at a recently opened performance school in Dongying, eastern China

These monkeys are learning tricks like shaking hands, walking on stilts, salutes and mathematics.

The monkeys pretend to be doctors (above), solve mathematical equations and perform other circus acts

They receive daily ‘academic’ as well as physical training at the school, aimed at helping them learn some basic math operations and somersaults.

However, they don’t need to worry about the weather at the training school as their goal is to perform tricks

Upon completion of training, they will be sent around China to enter into the entertainment industry.

These macaques normally dwell in cold climates where the landscape is covered with snow much of the year
