ISLAMABAD: Haseeb Athar took oath as new chairman of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) in Islamabad on Friday.
President Dr Arif Alvi administered the oath to Haseeb Athar at a ceremony held at the Presidency. Senior officers and members of FPSC were also present on the occasion.
On the occasion, Haseeb Athar expressed commitment that he will discharge his responsibilities in an efficient manner.
Meanwhile, Minister for Power Umar Ayub, Minister for Science and Technology Azam Swati and Chairman Paksitan Stock Exchange Suleiman Mehdi separately called on President Dr Arif Alvi in Islamabad on Friday.
Matters of national importance came under discussion during the meeting.
