Gabol whose resignation lay vacant the NA-246 seat of National Assembly said in a Twitter message that “One must appreciate Imran khan on challenging MQM in NA-246 Election”.
Gabol was of the view that the decision to pit a PTI candidate against MQM in the constituency has put MQM on the defensive.
The former MQM MNA added that now the MQM is tense and for the first time the party is worried about its voters in the constituency which is traditionally considered a party stronghold.
Gabol while commenting on PTI workers’ behaviour with journalists before Imran Khan’s press conference advised PTI Karachi office bearers to act wisely in order to avoid embarrassment in future.
The NA-246 seat fell vacant after Nabil Gabol, who was elected on the ticket of MQM in the 2013 general elections, resigned from his seat after developing differences with the party.
PTI will be holding a rally in Azizabad’s Jinnah Ground on April 19 while the by-election will be held on April 23.
