According to ARY News, the funeral prayers of the martyred soldiers will be offered at Rawalpindi today.
A helicopter of the Army Aviation Wing carrying the medical corps personnel to Gilgit from Rawalpindi, was crashed in the mountainous region resulting in death of 12 personnel including five majors.
Official sources yesterday confirmed that an MI-17 helicopter of the Pakistan Army was en route to Gilgit from Rawalpindi when it crashed near Mansehra.

The DPO Mansehra said that fire engulfed the chopper as soon as it hit the ground. At least 12 people including five majors were killed in the wake of crash.

The chopper was reportedly carrying a team of Pakistan Army’s Medical Corps to Gilgit.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar expressed sorrow over the incident.
Nisar directed local administration in Mansehra to expedite relief activities.
