ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Thursday said Pakistan attached high importance to its relations with Iran and Japan.
Talking to Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan Takashi Kurai in Islamabad, he welcomed Japanese companies to invest in Pakistan that would enhance capacity of industrial sector to produce value added goods.

The prime minister highlighted the significant improvement in the economic and security environment in the country and attributed it to the successful law enforcement operations against terrorist groups.
The ambassador of Japan appreciated Pakistan’s economic growth and stated that Pakistan’s perception particularly in Japan had changed to a business-friendly country.
Separately talking to Iranian Ambassador Mehdi Honardoost in Islamabad, he said both the Islamic countries were enjoying close and cordial relations.
The ambassador conveyed the greetings of the Iranian leadership to the PM and emphasized the importance that Iran attached to its relations with Pakistan.
