Rathwa whose hair measures an astounding 62 feet long has said that he is applying to be recognised in the Guinness Book of World Records.
The sixty-year old has been growing his dreadlock coil of hair for several decades and can be seen unspooling it.
Ratwa is seen often walking with the rope-like coil wrapped around his arm or arranged on his head like a turban. He eats plenty of fruits and vegetables to keep his hair healthy and strong. He only eats home-cook food and also avoids spicy food.
In case you are wondering how he cleans his hair, Rathwa says that he spends around three hours to wash his hair after every two days. His grandchildren help him hold his hair out in the sun to dry.
Rathwa is being assisted by a local non-profit organisation to apply the Guinness Book of World Records. The previous record holder was Xie Qiuping of China who had his locks measuring at 22 feet prior to his death in 2010.
