This morning proved to be troublesome for Karachi, as a bus transporting members of the Ismaili community near Safoora Chowrangi, was ambushed with gunfire. Six armed assailants stopped a bus, boarded it and opened indiscriminate fire on all passengers. Out of a total of 60 passengers, 43 were reported dead and as many as 13 were injured.

Following the incident, Twitter erupted with tweets from Pakistani celebrities and politicians. The prominent personalities expressed their shock, horror and condolences for the ghastly attack that claimed innocent lives today.
