ISLAMABAD: A petition has been filed in Islamabad High Court (IHC) against appointment of Chairman Prime Minister’s Inspection Commission (PMIC) Muzaffar Ali Ranjha, ARY News reported on Saturday.
Petition has been filed in the high court by a citizen Qadeer Hussain and made Secretary Establishment, Principal Secretary and Chief Secretary election commission as respondents in the case.
Muzaffar Ali Ranjha remained D.G. anti-corruption Punjab from year 2013 to 2018, petitioner said.
“The PTI government had removed him from his office,” according to plea.
“Shehbaz Sharif appointed Ranjha as Chairman Prime Minister’s Inspection Commission on July 1st last year. The elections would most likely be rigged if held in his presence,” petitioner apprehended.
He pleaded to court for removal of Muzaffar Ali Ranjha from his office.
Muzaffar Ali Ranjha was appointed as chairman of the Prime Minister’s Inspection Commission (PMIC) by former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif in July 2022.
