The petition was filed by Waleed Iqbal of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. He claimed that PTI was endeavoring hard to eliminate corruption from the country and leading a long-march in this connection in Lahore on 30th of September.
He said PTI first demanded of the government fair probe into Panama Papers and now the party was heading towards protest.
The petitioner said the government was threatening PTI leaders against participating in the march. While some workers have also been arrested, he added.
He urged the court to stop government from misuse of powers against ‘democratic people’.
Iqbal also demanded the court to take action against PML-N leaders including Abid Sher Ali and Zaeem Qadri.
The LHC referred the case to full bench headed by Justice Shahid Hameed Dar.
