BATTAGRAM/PESHAWAR: Two suspected Taliban militants were arrested whereas a policeman was shot dead in separate incidents across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), ARY News reported on Tuesday.
Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and intelligency agencies carried out a raid in Battagram and arrested two suspected Taliban men identified as Mohammad Nawaz and Azizullah.
The two suspected militants were trained in firing weapons and making Intermittent Explosive Devices (IEDs).
Terrorists have confessed that they planned on carrying an attack on Pakistan Army headquarters and the office of District Police Officer in Battagram.
Meanwhile, a policeman was killed when unknown men opened fire near a police checkpost at Charsadda Road in Peshawar.
Police said that two gunmen on motorcycles targeted the police officer as he was leaving home for duty at 06.00 am.
Rescue teams shifted the dead body to a hospital whereas Police has launched the search for the attackers.
