According to a release issued by Sindh Police spokesperson, the citizens have been warned that Section 144 will be strictly implemented on New Year’s eve.
The release also stated that patrolling and snap checking around parks, sea side, main roads, shopping centres, fast food joints, departmental stores along with recreational spots should be made effective.
The inspector general was informed in a report that 3400 police officers, 70 police mobiles, 95 motorcycle riding police officers will serve their duties on the occasion.
Sindh Government has imposed a two-day ban on pillion-riding in Karachi from today (Wednesday) midnight to Friday.
Under the ban, aerial firing, display of arms, removal of silencer of motorcycles and one-wheeling of bikes would not be allowed under Section 144.
