Talking exclusively to ARY News, Azeem told that a few ministers in the Sindh cabinet expressed displeasure over the movie, which was also reflected in their messages on micro-blogging site Twitter.

He went on to say that at first he received a phone call from the Censor Board asking him to replace the word chief minister or CM with a “beep” in the entire flick.

The Dhuwwan-famed actor-cum-director said that today he received a letter from the Censor Board apprising him of banning Maalik in the province.

He regretted that the movie is being screened in cinemas everywhere across the country and no other province has raised objections over the usage of above mentioned words.

The provincial government, soon after the news flashed on media, retreated from its decision of prohibiting the screening.
