ISLAMABAD/KARACHI: Justice Sajjad Ali Shah took oath as Supreme Court (SC) Judge on Wednesday.
Chief Justice Supreme Court Mr. Justice Saqib Nisar administrated the oath.
The oath taking ceremony, at Supreme Court premises in Islamabad, was attended by senior lawyers, Judges, and Attorney General of Pakistan.
Justice Sajjad Ali Shah had joined the legal profession in 1985 and practised at bar for 20 years before being elevated to the bench of the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Oct 24, 2005.
Justice Shah also remained as honorary lecturer in S.M. Law College Karachi from 1995 till elevation to the bench. He was appointed as standing council for Government of Pakistan in 2002 and thereafter as deputy attorney general for the Government of Pakistan in 2004.
Following the elevation of Justice Sajjad Ali Shah as SC Judge from Sindh High Court (SHC), Justice Ahmed Ali Sheikh took oath as SHC Chief Justice.
The oath administered by Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair while Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah also attended the oath taking ceremony.
