LAHORE: As the government leaders and their ‘detractors’ keep on debating about number of participants in the GT Road rally led by deposed premier Nawaz Sharif, a video has emerged of a PML-N leader Pomi Butt throwing notes from a stage atop to party supporters and workers.
The video shows deputy mayor Gujranwala Salman Butt, alias Pomi Butt – who is also brother of PML-N leader Imran Butt – throwing wads of money to the supporters who were shoving and pushing each other to get hold of the money. Some of them even scuffled creating an almost stampede like situation.

In August 2014 during sit-in of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Gujranwala police had arrested Pomi Butt and some others after TV news channels aired a footage in which he was spotted pelting stones on PT Chairman Imran Khan’s container on GT Road.
Police arrested him and his accomplices in a case under sections 506, 147, 148 and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
