ISLAMABAD: Minister for Education and Professional Training, Shafqat Mehmood has stressed upon the need of negotiation between the treasury and opposition benches to deal the economic challenges, being confronting by the country.
Talking to a private news channel, Shafqat Mehmood said the current government is ready to sit with opposition for the sake of national interest.
To a query, he said those who looted the public money should be punished and they would not be given any National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, on November 1, had said the government was holding negotiations with the opposition to move forward with mutual consultation.
Speaking to media after meeting Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Shehbaz Sharif, the minister had said the government plan to tackle the current political situation was also shared with the opposition.
“It’s not about a single party…it’s an issue of entire Pakistan,” said Mr. Chaudhry.
He was of the view that the entire Pakistan was united in the face of current situation triggered by acquittal of Asia Bibi in blasphemy case.
Reiterating that the parliament is united, the information minister had said he took opposition into confidence on directives of the prime minister.
The federal government had decided to deal with the crisis, arising out of Asia Bibi’s acquittal in blasphemy case, in a peaceful manner.
