KARACHI: The police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two suspects, involved in firing on a restaurant manager over a small tiff, last night, ARY News reported.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir Irfan Bahadur has said the suspects Mir Mustafa Rashdi and his brother Athar Rashdi, rounded up by the police, named in FIR, have denied shooting the hotel manager.
“Investigation into matter was underway with help of CCTV footage,”the SSP continued.
While talking to ARY News, Dilawar, the Kitchen Manager of the restaurant said firing incident took place after a tiff with the waiter, as the suspects were drunk.
“Manager, Basheer sustained bullet injury, when he was trying to resolve the issue between the customers and the waiter.”
According to police, the incident took place in Karachi’s area of Malir at around 10:30 pm on Monday night, when a man identified as Mir Mustafa Rashdi along with his brother, Athar Rashdi and guards of the Hur Force, exchanged words with the restaurant manager.
“The manager was shot by Mir Mustafa Rashdi, while his guards had misbehaved with the people in the restaurant,” the police said.
The injured was rushed to a nearby medical facility for the first aid, where his condition is said to be critical.
The police on the complaint of the restaurant administration had lodged the case, seized vehicle of the suspects and recovered liquor from it.
