ISLAMABAD: Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing here on Tuesday called on Finance Minister Asad Umar in Islamabad.
Matters of mutual interest, bilateral relations, China Pakistan Economic Corridor, economic situation, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s forthcoming visit to China and other issues were came under discussion in the meeting, said sources.
Talking to the Chinese envoy, Asad Umar said that China was a reliable friend and its support was essential for Pakistan’s socio-economic development.
The finance minister briefed the envoy about the measures taken by the government to create enabling environment for foreign investment.

Asad Umar said that the Chinese businessmen and investors would also benefit from the current environment by making investment in various sectors, particularly agriculture, housing, health, education and energy.
On the occasion, Chinese envoy Yao Jing reiterated his country’s commitment to timely complete the projects.
Appreciating the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the ambassador said that the Chinese businessmen’s confidence had enhanced due to the economic policies of Pakistan.
Both sides exchanged views on matters of bilateral importance and emphasized the need for further enhancing and expanding bilateral cooperation.
