According to details, ARY News assignment editor, Irshad Mastoi, who was assassinated by unknown assailants along with two of his associates, was laid to rest in Numaish Ground graveyard of Jacobabad, amid tears and sobs.
Mastoi was shot dead, along with two other persons, a reporter and an accountant of the Online news agency, where he used to work as the bureau chief.
Unknown armed men had barged into the office of the Online news agency in the evening on Thursday and fired several bullets on the slain journalist and two of his co-workers.
Irshad Mastoi was an active journalist and the general secretary of the Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ), his brutal killing sparked protests in different cities, during which journalist fraternity strongly criticized the government and demanded for immediate arrest of the culprits.
