Prolific Urdu and Punjabi singer Abrar ul Haq is all geared up to make his Bollywood singing debut for Ishq Mera Religion. The famous folk and pop singer has previously bewitched audiences with his melodious voice. Now, Abrar seems hell bent on conquering the Indian film industry after contemporary artists Atif Aslam, Ali Zafar and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan have made their mark as playback and talented singers for Indian movies.
S.M.Sadiq was the one to approach Abrar. According to renowned Pakistani lyricist S.M.Sadiq, “The reason why we have gotten Abrar on board as playback singer is because he has the best folk voice in the country, which is popular among listeners of all ages. The two songs that he has recorded are sure to be quite popular among the audiences.”
Some of Abrar’s famous singles include Preeto, Nach Majajan, Billo, Tere Rang Rang and Dum Dum. Adorned by Pakistanis all over, Abrar has in the recent years shown a keen interest outside musical ventures as well. The Punjabi singer has joined and appears to be a key member of the Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) political party. Besides his political ventures, Abrar has also been involved in philanthropic activities with his Sahara For Life Trust.
Since music has no boundaries and can only help to bridge the gap between both South Asian countries, it is only befitting that we wish Abrar best of luck and hope that he gives a stellar performance just like always.
