LAHORE: The Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control department of the Government of Punjab on Wednesday launched a massive crackdown against customised and unapproved vehicle number plates across the city, ARY News reported.
During the operation, more than fifteen thousand number plates were removed from cars and other vehicles and confiscated. They even impounded vehicles from parking lots across the city.
Excise officials have warned that the crackdown will continue, and motorists are instructed to use only government approved number plates.
