PARIS: The Embassy of Pakistan in Paris Friday commemorated the Pakistan Day (March 23) with a pledge to make the country stronger and prosperous.
In his address, the ambassador Moin ul Haque recalled the vision of Allama Iqbal for a separate homeland for the Muslims of South Asia.
He said that Quaid-e-Azam was a charismatic leader, who secured freedom in the shape of Pakistan. He said that we have earned freedom through great sacrifices of our forefathers, saying that it is now our responsibility to work hard collectively for the development of our country, reported the APP.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Pakistani community, officers of the missions and their families and media persons in large number. The messages of the president and the prime minister of Pakistan were also read on the occasion.
The nation celebrates Pakistan Day today with a commitment to ensure progress, prosperity and a strong defense of the country.
The Day will dawn with thirty-one-gun salute in the federal capital and twenty-one-gun salute in provincial and state capitals.
Special prayers will be offered in mosques after Fajr prayers for the progress and prosperity of the country. National flag will be hoisted on major government buildings.
