LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader Malik Ahmed Khan alleged on Monday the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is using the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) as a tool to victimise its political opponents.
Speaking to ARY News, he said, “If court orders arrest of [Hamza Shehbaz] we will respect [the ruling]”
Slamming the ruling party, he said there was no doubt that the government was behind NAB actions against leaders of opposition parties.
A Lahore High Court (LHC) bench will hear today a petition filed by Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz seeking bail before arrest in a graft case.
The PML-N leader will likely appear before a LHC bench that will hear his bail petition.

LHC Chief Justice Sardar Shamim Ahmed had earlier on April 6 barred the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from arresting Hamza. Subsequently, a NAB team which had laid siege to PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif’s Model Town residence to arrest his son had to leave without Hamza.
The chief justice granted interim bail to Hamza until April 8 (Monday) so that he would be able to approach the bench concerned for the hearing of a bail plea he had filed on April 4.
